Disclosure: If you shop from my article or make a purchase through one of my links, I may receive commissions on some of the products I recommend.
Amazon’s massive annual sale is back, and this week, Prime Big Deal Days happens over two days (from October 7 through October 8, 2025) and you have to move quickly if you want the best deals before they go away.
The sheer number of deals available can be overwhelming, so I’ve put together this list of my favorite home and garden products to help you get started. Since new deals continually launch throughout the sale, I’ll update my list today and tomorrow as I find more deals worth sharing.
So what makes my recommendations different?
I’m sure your news feed is popping with all sorts of sites promoting Amazon Prime Days. But my list is different because I only recommend the items that I personally own and use (and love!) or I recommend items that have been sitting in my shopping cart for a while, after much thought and research, and now I can finally take advantage of Prime Day pricing to buy them.
How to shop the sale
To take advantage of Amazon Prime Day Deals, you must be a Prime member. You can sign up here for a free 30-day trial.
It’s worth the cost if you decide to keep your membership. My husband and I share a household Prime membership and use it for free shipping, Prime Video, Amazon Music, Amazon Photos (unlimited photo storage), and GrubHub+ (free food delivery from local restaurants). There are other benefits too (like discounted prescriptions, Prime Fuel, Prime Reading, and Prime Gaming) that we don’t use.
Prime members also get exclusive discounts outside of Prime Days, so even if you don’t shop this week, you’ll have year-round access to special prices on lots of different items (which isn’t made clear as a perk, but I’ve seen this firsthand when I browse Amazon without being logged in to my account).
Because I’m a longtime Amazon partner (meaning I earn commissions from qualifying purchases through the links in this post), I also have the honor of giving away two $500 Amazon.com gift cards to two lucky Garden Betty followers! Keep reading to the end to find out how to enter for your chance to win.
Quick Tip
If you’re like me, you probably have tons of items in your “Save for Later” cart or Amazon wish list. Scan through those and see if any of them are Prime Day Deals today!
Prime Day Deals I’m loving
EcoFlow Delta Pro Portable Power Station – This has been on my mind lately because our neighborhood had several power outages over the summer (as a “precautionary measure” by the utility company) and I don’t think things will get any better anytime soon. If you don’t have a solution for power outages, blackouts, or emergencies, this generator is worth looking into.
You’ll need to compare generators that have enough power to run the appliances and devices you need, but this particular model is rated for whole-house backup for up to four days. (I’m also considering this Westinghouse tri-fuel model that can run off our propane tank.)
EGO Power+ Leaf Blower – You’ll see a few EGO products on my list because we LOVE them around here. And EGO usually has different tools on sale during each Prime Day event, so you can start building your collection of these powerful cordless yard tools (which all use the same high-capacity batteries).
EGO Power+ Chainsaw – My husband cut down a 30-foot-tall pine tree with this chain saw, and powers through large hardwood logs with ease. He sees no need for a gas-powered chain saw now.
EGO Power+ Electric Snow Blower – Winter’s coming! And if you buy a snow blower, it probably won’t snow 🤣 but why not be prepared when there’s a Prime Day deal on this 24-inch blower? We’ve had ours for over four years and love how clean and quiet it is compared to a gas-powered snow thrower. (It also handles our 300-foot driveway on one charge!)
Worx Electric Leaf Mulcher – I own this exact leaf mulcher and it’s 29% off today, which is less than what I originally bought it for! When I got mine a few years ago, I used it to shred over 50 yard bags of fallen leaves. (Seriously… it was a task!) This mulcher handled the workload with zero problems, and I continue to use it each year to make leaf mulch for my raised beds.
Worx 2-in-1 Folding Work Table – My husband has had this portable workbench for years and it’s an indispensable part of his garage gear. It folds down easily for storage or transport, and it’s lightweight yet heavy duty. Two of them can be turned into a sawhorse that supports 1,000 pounds!
Vego Garden Metal Raised Bed – I wanted to start a new mushroom bed on the shady side of my house, so I bought this metal raised bed a few months ago. So far I’m not disappointed! I have the 17-inch-tall version that allows for multiple sizes and configurations. (The smooth edge trim was key for me, as I’ve read reviews on similar—yet cheaper—metal beds that are fabricated with sharp or unfinished edges.)
Wells Lamont Water-Resistant Work Gloves – These are my favorite garden gloves, which means I’m picking up a couple extra pairs for backup! They’re super comfortable, breathable, protect against pokey things, and have good dexterity for gardening and general yard work. (There’s also a men’s version.)
Fiskars Vegetable Garden Tool Set – I don’t own this exact tool set, but I do have the vegetable shears and hand seed sower that are included and use them year-round! I’ve always been happy with the various Fiskars tools I own and I think this 6-piece kit would make a great gift for any gardener.
Fiskars 32-Inch Loppers – I have a whole collection of Fiskars tools in the garage, and these loppers don’t disappoint. They have good reach for tall shrubs and will cut branches up to 2 inches in diameter.
Fiskars Extendable Tree Pruner and Pole Saw – My husband uses this tool to trim branches from our willow tree. The pole extends up to 12 feet and you can switch between pruning shears or a pruning saw, depending on the job.
Fiskars Pruning Snips – I keep a couple of these small garden shears around the house for trimming herbs and houseplants (though they’re great to use outside too). The spring-action handle makes light pruning tasks super quick and easy.
Neptune’s Harvest Tomato & Veg Fertilizer – Amazon has this liquid fertilizer as a “Limited Time Deal” and the 36-ounce version is a really good price! (I just bought a bottle.) This formula is really just a rebrand of their usual fish and seaweed fertilizer, which I use throughout summer. I love it for giving my plants an instant dose of nutrients.
Arber Organic Plant Food – I originally bought this brand last year to try on my houseplants and indoor citrus trees, and so far I’m really liking it. I’ve also used their fungicide/insecticide combo to treat the soil of my pest-infested houseplants with good results. (You can use all of their products in the garden as well; I just haven’t needed to.)
Back to the Roots Worm Castings – I like to add worm castings at transplanting time, because they’re full of nutrients yet won’t burn your plants. This is a brand I tried this year, and I think it really helped my seedlings flourish in summer.
Back to the Roots Coconut Coir – I make my own seed starting mix and part of the three-ingredient recipe includes peat moss or coco coir. I decided to buy this brick of coir for cost-effectiveness and it expanded to fill a huge tub! It worked well and that initial brick will last me at least three seasons. (You don’t have to expand the full brick at once, by the way; you can simply break off a small amount as needed.)
Chapin 48-Ounce Sprayer – For watering newly seeded trays, I like using this spray bottle since it outputs a fine consistent mist (and doesn’t dislodge seeds, which always happens with a watering can).
Garden Safe Insecticidal Soap – If you want to control aphids, mites, mealybugs, whiteflies, and other soft-bodied insects, insecticidal soap is the safest way to get rid of them without harming your plants. (I especially like to use this spray on houseplants.)
ThermoPro Digital Hygrometer – I’ve used this simple standalone version for years to monitor the temperature and humidity inside my chicken coop. As my garden and needs have grown, I’ve upgraded to this wireless set that comes with a display unit and remote sensor (no wifi or apps needed). I stick sensors in the coop, the greenhouse, the garage where I store all my garlic and seeds, and elsewhere—and view all the sensors on a single, small and unobtrusive display.
Taylor Humidiguide Dial Thermometer – I bought this for my kids’ school garden last year and hung it in the greenhouse so we can easily monitor temperatures and humidity. I love the large analog display and how low-maintenance it is (no battery or plug needed). It’s also rated for outdoor use so you could mount it on a fence or shed instead.
Vevor Greenhouse Plastic Sheeting – We use this for a small greenhouse that protects our potted citrus trees. Our high-desert climate can be pretty brutal but this 6 mil polyethylene film lasts quite a while without tearing.
Run-Chicken Automatic Coop Door – If you’re still letting your chickens in and out yourself every day, you must upgrade to an automatic door! I’ve owned this model for years and it’s never failed our flock, even in single-digit temps. (They also make a solar-powered version.)
Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent – If it feels like your garden is merely there to feed deer and rabbits, this ready-to-use liquid formula is worth a try. I’ve found that spraying it on ornamental plants helps keep pests away from flowers and shrubs. (I don’t use this on food crops.)
Sun Joe Electric Power Washer – Every house needs a good pressure washer. We use ours to wash the car, wash the RV, clean the chicken coop, spray down our porch, and just get the gunk off our siding and sheds after a dusty or muddy season.
Mason Jar Lid Organizer – I always struggle to keep all my canning lids and rings neatly organized, especially right now when I’m deep in canning season. So I jumped on this deal because it looks exactly like what I need for the cupboard!
S’well Stainless Steel Salad Bowl Kit – I bought this at regular price last year and it’s saved me from eating like crap on busy “chauffeuring” days. (Parents, you know what I’m talking about.)
This is my favorite way to tote along green salads, pasta salads, and noodles when I have to drive my kids all over town and then sit around and wait for them. I really like the nesting tray where I can keep utensils and dry ingredients separate.
Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass Containers – I replaced all my round and mismatched plastic sets with these glass food containers a few years ago and wish I’d gotten them sooner. They’re conveniently modular for storage, the lids have held up well and I love that they’re interchangeable across containers. (There’s also a BPA-free plastic set if you prefer less weight.)
FoodSaver Mini Handheld Vacuum Sealer – This cordless vacuum sealer actually came with the FoodSaver unit I own (this one) and I think it’s so useful that I recommend it for anyone who wants to keep food fresher (but may not have space for a full-sized unit).
You can use it to seal special vacuum-seal bags (which I love, since you can get into the bag easily and then just reseal as needed) or marinate meat in minutes using the vacuum-seal containers. My FoodSaver has been a game-changer this season as I’m up to my ears in food that needs to be preserved!
If you have a little space to store a countertop unit, this is the one I use (which unfortunately is not on sale, but worth the price). It’s a compact model that I actually keep in a drawer until I need it, and I’ve had it for two years now. I LOVE IT.
Anji Mountain Black Boot Tray – We don’t wear shoes in the house, so I’ve got these stylish boot trays at the front door, back door, and mud room to corral all our shoes. They really help keep all the dirt and mud off our floors!
Bissell Little Green Carpet Cleaner – I don’t know how this little machine does it, but it’s absolutely saved our carpets and upholstery over the years! (We have a white sofa that still looks new after pets and kids have attempted to destroy it. 😅) If you struggle with stains or want to do your own car detailing, read the reviews on this carpet cleaner. They’re impressive!
Bissell TurboClean Carpet Cleaner – I have the previous version of this upright carpet cleaner and the first time I used it—I kid you not—it was able to remove stains that a professional carpet cleaning company couldn’t get out! I now use this twice a year throughout the house and the Little Green model (above) for spot treatments.
Ravenna Water-Resistant Patio Lounge Chair Cover – If you have to cover your outdoor furniture over winter, this is the same cover that I’ve been using on my lounge chairs for the past six years. (I have the dark covers, but they also come in a lighter sand color.)
SoloStove Bonfire 2.0 – We’ve owned the original SoloStove Bonfire for eight years and have taken it on all kinds of camping trips and tailgating parties (and it still looks like new). We also use it at home and it’s just the right size to fit a couple families around it.
Grand Trunk Trunk Tech Hammock – Our family started backpacking again and I’ve been upgrading our gear each year as I find deals. (Turns out, you have to carry a lot more gear when you go with little kids. 😆) I just bought this ultralight hammock (less than 12 ounces!) and will likely use it with these ultralight Python UL hammock straps (only 3 ounces) or ENO Helios straps (4 ounces).
LuminAid Solar String Lights – I bought these light strands for camping over the summer and they’re oh so fun! Lightweight, easy to pack (even for backpacking), and the perfect brightness for adding ambience and helping you see just enough to move around your campsite. Just plug them into a power bank (I use this slim one). The company also makes this multifunctional unit that’s a lantern, string lights, and USB phone charger in one.
Flextail Gear Tiny Air Pump – I bring this rechargeable portable pump on backpacking trips to inflate our sleeping pads and pack raft, but it also works on regular air mattresses and pool floats. It’s surprisingly mighty for being so small, inflates things in just a little over a minute, and weighs nearly nothing!
Montem Collapsible Trekking Poles – This is a crazy good price for these hiking poles! I bought them last year for backpacking and used them this whole summer as well. They’re sturdy, lightweight, collapsible, and just as good as my previous pair of (more expensive) Black Diamond poles. (Montem also makes a carbon fiber version.)

Just a note to let you know I’ve followed you for several years and continue to benefit from the practical information shared. There is nothing more helpful than advice from others that share your interests and the recommendations are always beneficial and time saving. Everything on the list looks great, but at this season I’m working on soil and refurbishing the greenhouse for plants I’d like to keep alive over the winter; the Worx Electric Leaf Mulcher and Vevor Greenhouse Plastic Sheeting would be two things that fit into the fall work plan right away. Thanks again for the website content.
Although I live in the high desert of Bisbee, AZ, I have found some of your advice to be helpful for my growing conditions. Keep that hard earned wisdom coming.
I’ve been looking at electric bikes and I”m about $500 short. That is one thing.
Another is a raised bed that is a bit higher than the one on sale.
I would refresh my garden tools to look for lighter ones as I age.
Possibly another greenhouse cover for my cheap plastic frame or maybe a new one altogether.
I enjoy your blogs. Very helpful!
I would purchase a greenhouse for my backyard if I won the giftcard.
I would love to get a composter and gardening supplies! Plus some clothes for my little ones!
if I won the $500 gift card I would definitely get a raised garden bed. also I’m in the process of remodeling my home and I need a couple lights and there is a few on Amazon I really like.
Thank you, Linda, for the opportunity to win an Amazon gift card. From your splendid gardening supply suggestions, I purchased the “Wells Lamont Water Resistant work gloves” for son, husband, a friend’s gift and, of course, a pair for myself. They look so comfy & durable for any yard chores. I even added the women’s work gloves and “Back to the Roots Organic Coir” as a Subscribe & Save. I reviewed my “Save for Later” cart as you suggested and, wow, I have a lot of “want to buys” to choose from on Amazon Prime Day. So I’d better get busy……
Thank you for your hard work putting together this amazing list of finds! It includes so many items that we have and love like the Little Green Machine and our Solo Stove! If I won the gift card, I would buy essentials for my kids…diapers, wipes, pjs. I would also love to get a cat tree for the kittens that we just adopted. Thank you for the opportunity!❤️
Thank you for all the gardening insights, and for the opportunity to win a gift card. I look forward to your emails each week. I would love the Vego Garden 32″ Extra Tall Raised Garden Bed 10 in 1 kit in British Green. We are in Northern Maine, with seven months of winter, so it would go into the high tunnel, greatly improving the ergonomics of keeping the more cold-tolerant veggies happy while extending the growing season. To keep tabs on conditions in various levels of the high tunnel, the ThermoPro TP60-3 Digital Hygrometer Indoor Outdoor Thermometer would be a marvelous improvement over our old, faltering, single-sensor model. And for access out to the high tunnel, a pair of HISEA Rubber Waterproof Hunting Boots, Tall. The Anji Mountain Black Boot Tray with Coir would save the floors upon return to the house in the snowy boots. And, for the mini greenhouses in the kitchen, Back to the Roots Organic Coir, 51 Quart, would keep the microgreens going, while the Fiskars 340110-1001 Seed Planting Trowel and the BN-LINK Durable Seedling Heat Mat 10″x20.75″ 2 Pack would assist with seed starting. Of course, there are dozens of coveted items not on your list, such as Bootstrap Farmer products, mesh bags for preparing garlic for planting, long-shelf-life organic staples, etc., ad inf. Thank you for the pipe dream!
the solar powered string lights are inspiring me to go camping again soon! your posts are always so informative, thank you!
I love to follow your email and blogs for the great info you share. I’d love to get my chickens a raised garden bed to call theirs. Chickens love to forage in the garden.
You have great suggestions for aspiring gardeners! I’m personally interested in a handheld wet/dry vac, a WiFi extender so I can listen to my music out in the garden, and a leaf shredder that can handle magnolia leaves.
Thank you for doing all of the homework for us. Purchased many things on you list. I never go wrong with any of you recommendations.
Thank you,
AnnFlanCan
